Rhun ap Iorwerth Becomes Wales' First Non-Labour First Minister
Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth is set to become Wales' first non-Labour First Minister, ending the party's unbroken 27-year hold on the Welsh Government since the Senedd was established in 1999. Plaid won 43 of 96 seats in the May 7 Senedd election — its highest ever seat share — and plans to lead a minority government.
