Regional mayors to help shape national policy from No 10 North

A new No 10 North office in Manchester has been launched by Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who described it as the "biggest rebalancing of power" the UK has seen. He will work from the Manchester outpost once a week, chairing the revived National Economic Council, which will include regional mayors alongside senior ministers. The initiative aims to accelerate devolution and drive growth across the UK.
