Reform UK has named Wing Commander Angus MacIntyre, 58, as its first armed forces spokesman after he left the RAF following a 40-year military career. He recently worked at Nato headquarters on UK support for Ukraine. The move is seen as Nigel Farage's attempt to answer critics who call him soft on Putin, while the party promises defence spending of 3% of GDP by 2030.
