Reece James to stay Chelsea captain under new boss Xabi Alonso

Chelsea's new boss, Xabi Alonso, wants midfielder Enzo Fernandez to remain with the team. Alonso, who arrived in May, had a private conversation with Fernandez to express this desire. Fernandez, signed for a British-record £106.8m in January 2023, enjoyed his best season last term.
