1,000 delivery robots use player photos to navigate
Delivery robots can now navigate challenging urban routes more effectively, improving service reliability in busy areas. Niantic Spatial, a division of Pokémon Go's developer, partnered with Coco Robotics, integrating a Visual Positioning System into their fleet. This system, based on over 30 billion real-life pictures collected since 2016, has helped the fleet complete around 500,000 jobs.
