Three women abused by Sheffield serial rapist Amar Ilyas say they feel betrayed after he fled to Pakistan while on court bail. The 41-year-old kept his passport, left in July 2025 and missed his trial, yet was convicted of 20 sexual offences and sentenced in absence to at least 27 years. The National Crime Agency says it is making every effort to bring him back.
