Listeners of a UK radio station were distressed by a mistaken announcement about King Charles's death. Radio Caroline, a broadcaster whose signals reached central and southern England, mistakenly initiated a "Death of a Monarch procedure" on Tuesday, May 19. A computer error, according to Station Manager Peter Moore's apology, led to the false report and a 15-minute period of silence on Radio Caroline.
