Rachel Reeves: new state pension won't be taxed
People receiving only the new state pension will not face income tax bills during the current Parliament, despite earlier risks. Labour's Rachel Reeves announced this commitment on Monday, stating details are due later this year. The new state pension, set to increase by £575 from April, will therefore remain tax-free for those whose sole income it is.
