Rachel Reeves cuts VAT on summer fun to 5%

Households could save money on family days out and children's meals this summer, aiming to ease financial pressure. Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced a temporary VAT cut from 20% to 5% for specific summer attractions and kids' restaurant meals. The "Great British summer savings" scheme, including free bus trips for those under 16, runs from 25 June until 1 September.
