Ukraine Deploys Armed Ground Robots
Ground robot systems, also known as UGVs, are being deployed on the Ukraine battlefield through a major programme. Units such as the K2 brigade use these robots, which mount machine guns or explosives, to repel attacks and capture enemy soldiers. Human operators make the final decision to fire, though their role is expected to expand, including in AI-powered swarms.
