Obesity to cause 170,000 heart deaths by 2035

Around 170,000 people in England are expected to die from heart conditions linked to obesity by 2035, a leading charity warns. This means about 45 people a day could die from cardiovascular disease tied to excess weight if current trends continue. The British Heart Foundation says these deaths are not inevitable and urges the government to act on its healthy food pledges.
