One Million SpaceX Satellites Could Harm Night Sky
The night sky for everyone on Earth could be severely damaged, as people might observe more artificial satellites than natural stars during much of the year. SpaceX recently proposed launching one million more satellites to the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC). These would serve as orbiting data processing centres for artificial intelligence. This plan follows the company's existing operations, which already include over 10,000 Starlink craft circling Earth.
