CENTCOM says no blockade breaches in 24 hours. Ship trackers tell a different story
US Central Command said there were no breaches in the first 24 hours of enforcement, with over 10,000 personnel and a dozen warships patrolling. But Marine Traffic reported two tankers turned around near the strait, and separate reports indicated Iranian vessels may have crossed. The strait is 21 miles wide at its narrowest. Enforcing a total seal is a task no navy has attempted at this scale.
