Bruno Fernandes Named Football Writers' Men's Footballer of the Year

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has won the Football Writers' Association Men's Footballer of the Year, the first United player to do so since Wayne Rooney in 2010. Fernandes has recorded eight goals and 19 Premier League assists this season, one short of the all-time record, and 20 assists across all competitions in 34 games under interim manager Michael Carrick.
