UK's £14B defence plan set for release before Nato summit

The new defence secretary, Dan Jarvis, has promised to publish the UK's delayed defence investment plan before the Nato summit in Ankara, Turkey. This plan, which covers major capital programmes for the next 10 years, was a point of contention for his predecessor, John Healey. Jarvis is understood to have secured at least £14 billion for the plan, up from the £13.5 billion Healey failed to get.
