Putin calls Khamenei killing a "cynical violation" of law
Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a letter to Iranian President Pezeshkian on Sunday, calling it a "cynical violation" of all norms of human morality and international law. China's foreign ministry described the killing as a "grave violation" of Iran's sovereignty and demanded an immediate halt to military operations.
