Prince William highlights climate threat as wildfires rage in Europe

Prince William posted a personally signed message on Monday calling the wildfires burning across France, Spain and Scotland's Cairngorms an example of an increasingly extreme climate. More than 220,000 people have been evacuated in south-west France and 116,000 in Spain, with London's fire brigade answering over 1,300 related incidents. William thanked firefighters and emergency crews for their work in very challenging conditions.
