Anthropic launches Claude Fable 5 to the public
Anthropic has launched Claude Fable 5, the first publicly available model in its powerful Mythos class, calling it more capable than any model it has previously released to the public. The model is built with new safeguards that block responses in high-risk areas like cybersecurity, biology and chemistry, falling back to Claude Opus 4.8 instead. Fable 5 is included free on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans until June 22 before usage credits apply.
