Police search two Mandelson homes as ex-minister quits House of Lords

Metropolitan Police officers are currently searching two properties in Wiltshire and Camden linked to Peter Mandelson following the launch of a criminal investigation into misconduct in public office. The 72-year-old former minister resigned from the House of Lords effective February 4 amid allegations he shared confidential government information with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed the inquiry as Mandelson quit the Labour party to avoid further embarrassment.
