Poland wants Meta fined €250M for 112 unremoved scam ads
Krzysztof Gawkowski, the digital minister, says the platform refused to remove most fake posts flagged by national cybersecurity experts. He asked the European Commission for the fine this week, noting the tech giant only deleted 10 of 122 identified scam adverts. It follows a Wednesday settlement ordering Meta to pay $18 billion to American states over accusations it made its apps addictive to children.
