PM Burnham suggests £12,570 income tax allowance may rise in Budget

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has strongly suggested the frozen income tax personal allowance of £12,570 might increase in this year's Budget. He also indicated that any such rise would likely mean higher borrowing or taxes to cover the costs. Burnham had previously stated there was "no commitment" to raising the tax allowance.
