Philippines and EU deepen defence cooperation

The European Union and the Philippines have agreed to deepen their partnership on maritime security and defence. The agreement follows a meeting between EU High Representative Kaja Kallas and Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. Both sides stressed the importance of peace in the Indo-Pacific and upholding international law.
