Universities target £100bn innovation boost by 2035

UK universities are aiming to get a huge £100 billion more in outside money to turn research into new businesses by 2035. The Russell Group, representing major research universities, backed this plan today, saying it's key for the UK's competitive edge. Chancellor Rachel Reeves also supports the goal to scale up research into thriving UK businesses.
