Person dies at Mirfield station, cancelling TransPennine Express trains

A person died on railway lines near Mirfield station this morning, causing major disruption to train services across Yorkshire. British Transport Police were called around 7:30am, and paramedics pronounced the person dead at the scene. TransPennine Express routes to and from York, Scarborough, Newcastle, and Manchester are all affected by delays or cancellations.
