Pakistan delays military response to Houthi attacks, despite new treaty
Under a recent defence treaty with Saudi Arabia and Turkey, an attack on one nation counts as attacking all three. Houthi fighters backed by Iran struck Saudi Arabian towns and energy facilities this week, testing the new Mecca alliance. Foreign ministry spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan said on Thursday that armed retaliation isn't being discussed yet, but promised Pakistan will act eventually.
