Former Apple Employee Sam Sung Changes Name After Viral Fame Led to Workplace Disruption
Sam Struan, formerly Sam Sung, was pulled from his Apple Vancouver store floor in 2012 after his business card went viral online due to his name's similarity to Samsung. Apple revoked his business cards and had staff deny his presence when customers inquired. He left Apple in 2013, auctioned his business card for charity raising over $2500, and officially changed his surname to Struan, inspired by a Scottish village on the Isle of Skye.
