England Flag Stays on Pewsey Pub Despite Objections

England Flag Stays on Pewsey Pub Despite Objections

The St George's flag on The Moonrakers Inn, a 17th Century pub in Pewsey, Wiltshire, can stay after Wiltshire Council's Eastern Area Planning Committee voted to grant consent. Planning officers had recommended refusing permission. Landlord Jerry Kunkler first painted the flag on the Grade II listed building in 2016. An investigation was launched after a public complaint in November 2025.
