Owner confirms Gold Dancer euthanised after Grade 1 race win.

A winner of the Grade 1 Mildmay Novices' Chase was euthanised immediately after the race due to a serious injury. Seven-year-old Gold Dancer, ridden by Paul Townend, suffered a broken back after making an error at the final fence but still won by four and three-quarter lengths. Owner Eddie O'Leary of Gigginstown House Stud confirmed the tragic news, calling it a "hollow victory."
