Over 100 millionaires urge PM Burnham to increase their wealth tax
More than 100 wealthy Britons, including Gary Lineker and Richard Curtis, have signed a letter urging new Prime Minister Andy Burnham to increase taxes on their wealth. The communication, put together by Patriotic Millionaires UK, expresses their ability to bear the cost. They propose a 2% tax on wealth over £10 million, which they say could raise £24 billion annually.
