Over 1,000 Exeter homes lose power for hours on Tuesday morning

Electricity supplies to over 1,000 properties, including homes and businesses, in the Middlemoor area of Exeter were interrupted on Tuesday morning. National Grid, who were alerted at 7:12am, said the power cut was caused by accidental damage to their network. Power was restored to the 1,022 affected properties by about 10:20am.
