OpenAI says its new chip beats Nvidia's on efficiency
OpenAI asserts that its bespoke Jalapeño chip, a collaboration with Broadcom, handles AI operations with greater efficiency and provides quicker responses compared to Nvidia's GB300. On Tuesday, the company reported that its own trials indicated Jalapeño achieved superior throughput per watt and reduced response latency.
