ONS adds alcohol-free beer, pet grooming to inflation measure
Britons' shifting spending habits towards healthier choices and increased pet care are now reflected in how inflation is measured. The annual list of typical consumer purchases, compiled by the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS), has been adjusted to feature new items like alcohol-free beer and professional pet care. These additions, along with houmous, motorhomes, and dashboard cameras, mean 27 new items joined the total of 760 products, reflecting consumer trends.
