One in four children stuck waiting a year for NHS community care

Wikimedia Commons

More than a quarter of children on NHS community health waiting lists in England have waited at least a year, the King's Fund says. That was 86,000 children in July, making them 38 times likelier than adults to face such delays. Community paediatrics, which assesses disability and development, is worst, with 45% waiting over a year. The think tank urges action across all government departments.
