One Food Supplier Says Their Fuel Bill Doubled in Two Weeks
Businesses across the UK food chain are warning they cannot absorb rising diesel costs much longer. A supplier told Channel 4 News their fuel bill had doubled in a fortnight, with average diesel now sitting at 185.9p per litre. The Road Haulage Association says 98% of food in the UK travels by road at some point in the supply chain.
