Oil rises above $105 after Houthis take Mocha port
Saudi Arabia is using the Red Sea for oil exports because Hormuz, once about a fifth of world supply, is effectively closed. Yemeni military sources said Iran-aligned Houthis took Mocha on Thursday and reached the Hanish islands by Bab el-Mandeb, the Red Sea's southern exit. The US average diesel price also passed $6 a gallon for the first time, price tracker GasBuddy said.
