Oil Prices Surge as Barakah Nuclear Plant Comes Under Attack

Oil prices climbed sharply on Monday, raising fears of fresh hostilities in West Asia. This followed a drone strike on Sunday that caused a fire near the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Three drones were launched from the western border; two were intercepted, while one struck an electrical generator. No injuries or radiological safety impacts were reported.
