Oil falls as Qatar, Oman near deal to reopen Strait of Hormuz

Brent crude fell 1.55% to $86.48 a barrel on Thursday, marking four consecutive sessions of losses. Qatar's prime minister is heading to Tehran to restart diplomatic discussions as the regional conflict nears its sixth month. At the same time, Iran and Oman are finalising an agreement to share control of the crucial shipping channel.
