Gang leader shot dead at Ecuador airport

The daylight attack shocked locals in Guayaquil, a city already hit hard by gang violence. Police say Carlos Alberto Suástegui Villanueva, 39, was ambushed on Wednesday by two teenagers with a gun in a teddy. He was identified as a leader of Los Águilas, a gang accused of drug trafficking and extortion.
