Manchester cancer lab gets £6m extra funding

A world-class cancer research centre in Manchester will get an extra £6 million a year, boosting its expertise and attracting more scientists. Cancer Research UK is increasing its annual investment in the Biomarker Centre from £11 million to £17 million. This will fund 100 new researchers and two new clinician scientist roles, helping to develop personalised treatments.
