Defence plan delay makes UK less safe, MPs say
Delays to a key defence plan have made Britain less safe and hurt its standing with allies, according to a group of MPs. A parliamentary committee said the government should apologise for failing to publish the Defence Investment Plan, which was expected last autumn. They warned the hold-up also makes getting new military equipment more expensive, hindering efforts to modernise the armed forces.
