AI age checks could put child refugees in adult jails
Young asylum seekers could wrongly end up in adult detention because of new AI age checks, charities warn. The Home Office recently gave a contract to bring in this facial age estimation technology for those whose age is disputed. More than 100 refugee children's organisations are worried this could put children in adult detention facilities.
