Northern Lights could be seen across the UK for a whole week
A weather expert has indicated that three distinct factors are converging, making the Northern Lights more likely to be visible. Longer, darker nights, disturbances on the sun, and the Russell-McPherron effect could all lead to "peak" aurora viewing. According to the Met Office, the months of September and October present some of the most favourable periods for viewing the display.
