Northern Ireland saw UK's biggest rise in disposable income during 2024

People in Northern Ireland had 4.1% more real disposable income per person in 2024, the highest growth across all UK regions. Big inflation-linked boosts to benefits, pensions, and the minimum wage likely drove the increase. On average, each person there now has £22,258 available for spending or saving.
