Northampton Beat Cardiff for Only English Champions Cup Win

Northampton Saints were the only English side to win in the opening round of rugby's Champions Cup, beating Welsh side Cardiff at Franklin's Gardens. Saints led 14-0 at half-time through tries from James Pater and Toby Thame, before Cardiff fought back to within two points. George Hendy and Fraser Dingwall then scored tries to seal victory on a weekend when six other Prem clubs lost.
