No Quick Relief on Europe's Soaring Fuel Costs
Europe's oil and gas prices have surged 60–70% since the Iran war began and will not quickly return to normal, even if peace is declared tomorrow. EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen made the warning from Nicosia, Cyprus, after meeting EU energy ministers. Europe's fossil fuel import bill has already jumped 14 billion euros since the war started.
