New US mail ballot rules take effect, triggering fresh legal challenges

The US Postal Service brought in new rules for mail-in voting on Thursday, applying to November's midterm elections. These requirements come from an executive order by Donald Trump, aimed at stopping ballots being sent to ineligible voters. A new lawsuit has been initiated by 24 states and the District of Columbia, aiming to obstruct the order.
