New UK Law to Force Tech Firms to Remove Intimate Images Within 48 Hours

A government amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill, currently progressing through the House of Lords, would require technology platforms to remove non-consensual intimate images within 48 hours of being reported. Under the proposed law, survivors would need to flag an image only once — rather than repeatedly contacting each platform separately.
