New National Police Service to Combat Serious Crime

The UK is establishing a National Police Service (NPS), often called the 'British FBI', to combat serious crimes like terrorism, fraud, and organized crime. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will reveal widespread reforms to policing in a white paper on Monday. The NPS will combine the National Crime Agency, counter-terrorism policing, and regional organized crime units.
