New laws permit digital ID for age verification in English and Welsh venues

New laws will permit pubs, shops, and restaurants to take digital age verification when selling alcohol. The changes received approval from both parliamentary chambers on 8 September. Digital IDs must come from providers registered under the UK's digital verification services trust framework.
