Nepal flood death toll hits 469 as Tibet rescues pause over lake burst risk
The catastrophic flash floods on Wednesday have left more than 1,300 people missing across the mountainous region. China paused rescue work in Tibet because a lake formed by debris is overflowing and could burst, with water levels expected to rise until Tuesday. In Nepal, army teams are attempting to free around 100 individuals who are stuck within a hydropower project tunnel.
